GdS:

Juventus consider Golovin an opportunity rather than a necessity for this mercato.

The diff with CSKA seems to be reduced. Juve, who initially bid €17m, now offer €20m. CSKA seek €25m.

Chelsea are also keen on him but Juve have benefit from the player's will.

FI says we offered 15M - anyway offer 22M and call it a day or just pay them 25M as he is definitely better than his 25M price tag..

What qualifiers.

Exactly.

Dont get me wrong if he is talented prospect im all for it. But he wasnt exactly amazing yesterday and you cant make decisions based on Saudi Arabia.

He could end up another Krasic. Also Russian players dont always adapt. But i did hear he was learning english so there is that.

    These?

I mean, sure they played teams like Austria/Moldova but they also played against Brazil/France/Mexico/Portugal (friendlies). He played in them. You can play for a $#@! team and still be a standout, no?
Well he got trashed against bigger opponents.

    3-1 loss to France
    3-0 loss to Brazil

Could be another Krasic which is precisely the standout point. That guy was found out so early and was terrible. He only shined in russian league cause of that league quality.

    Both.

Might as well look for Saudi players. Someone surely stood out.

No. He has played 81 RPL games, 23 continental games, and 21 international games. We were linked with him prior to the World Cup.
RPL means nothing. Already said see Krasic. Being superstar there doesnt clearly mean much.

    You are babbling.
Im just saying be cautious. If he shines against uru and por/spa its different. How many examples do we have in world football from russian league players going on to great things. Arseshavin never established himself outside. You have examples like Ivanovic and Vidic who are CBs which is different roles. Even less so with russian nationalities.

This. Only a few clubs were after him BEFORE the world cup. But you see, the PL is based on this kind of hype. They will buy players based solely on WC scouting..
    Them and Real Madrid.

Juventus being one of them should tell you that the WC hype was not the driving force :shifty:
Cause Marotta is always after bargain. Then spends big on some bottler.

Indeed. You misunderstand my point. None should buy a player based on just a few performances. We've had scouts for Golovin in Russia with CSKA. I doubt many of the newly interested parties have had such. To me it just seems like Chelsea and the likes a jumping on the hype train. Abramovich has probably just seen him twice now and want's to buy since he's Russian..
