im with you fr3sh. Asa is in my opinion a very key figure on that left. kolarov may provide better service offensively but defensively, commitment to work is no match and i would not change him for kolarov.

Today's Tuttosport front page. http://en.kiosko.net/it/np/tuttosport.html

The guy who covers Manchester City on BBC Radio Manchester last night said that a deal is nearing closure.
if he comes i wont whine actually awesome good competition within the ranks but i dont think he'll bench asa and if kolarov does come he will be fighting a guy a few years younger, fit as fuck, knows the system and had no intention of giving up his spot so good luck kolarov.

Fucking hell, if we sign Ogbonna AND Kolarov, this team will become even more fucking stacked than it is already.

Need to start selling some players now. Isla, Padoin, De Ceglie, Matri/Quag, Melo and Ziegler need to find new clubs ASAP.

Buullllshiitt, he does tend to do the same thing but he is effective. His numbers prove that.
Excuse me? Kwadwo is easily 5 times the player Krasic ever was/will be, defensively he is a MONSTER!! He gets the job done, sure he is frustrating offensively but just because of that you shouldn't discredit his contribution to the team. He has been outstanding for a player played out of position and truthfully if he where playing for Lazio or Napoli in the same role the same people criticizing him would be drooling over him. I'm confident that he can be converted into a proper LB aswell the dude is versatile and very skillfull. Not everybody can be a Roberto Carlos, but give credit where it's due.
I said he is like Krasic because he always does the same thing and is very limited, of course Asamoah is much better than Krasic but like Krasic I find him frustrating to watch. He never uses his right foot and rarely cuts in the box, 95% of the time choosing to go straight to the touchline and then getting a cross/driven pass in. He always does the same thing and I find him very predictable just like Krasic. Saying that, it's not really his fault because he's being played out of position and I hope to see him in CM this season. Much prefer to see someone at LWB that can use both feet and cut in.

Marotta offered 1.5M for loan + 5.5 option to buy to City, total 7M.

City said they will consider it.

Ziegler may head to Besiktas for 4M, De Ceglie to Samp who had asked for him several times before.

Agreed, Marotta needs to polish his selling skills because we got alot of salary eaters that need to fuck off pretty much and you know what i dont think he will have shortage of teams wanting these players but rather these players not accepting the fact they arnt cutting it at the best team so they need to step down to the lower teams.

I think we're pretty close to selling all of them (Matri not Quag :p), maybe not Padoin.

Then we go for Jovetic :ferocious

yeah PDC is already on his way out. We must not forget, that transfer window opens on Monday everywhere except Kingdom, where it is open since June 10. And I'd keep the like of Padoin and Isla, we need versatile players and they do not cost much to be maintained. I'd give Matri to Lazio, because I think he is definately good enaugh for EL level team and could partner Klose very well. WE SHOULD START CARING WHERE OUR PLAYERS END UP! :D

meh, not a fan of this transfer but at least the fee sounds reasonable. anything about wages?
if he really earns 5,5m at city i don´t think a 50% cut is enough... but i won´t deny that taking a 50% cut to join juve shows ambition and character :)

Tevez went from like 14 to 5.5 so no reason why Kolarov won't, he said money isn't an issue and he just wants to play.

i didn´t say he wouldn´t take a bigger cut... all i said was that 2.75m (50% cut) would probably still be too much.

btw: does anyboy have an actual salary list like this one:
    ?

it´s from last year but i don´t think a lot has changed. buffon down to ~4, iaquinta and bendtner out and tevez (5.5) + llorente (4.5) in. considering vidal will get a new contract soon kolarov would be our 8th highest earner, earning almost as much as marchisio and chiellini, way more than barzagli, bonucci, lichtsteiner and twice as much as asmoah. i won´t even start with giac ^^
but as i said: maybe i missed some new contracts so an actual list would be nice to have :)

    german of course :sergio:

I don't think 2.75m is too tbh, plus we'd be getting him only loan initially too.

Asamoah is like an extra midfielder. He's very strong, good defensively and could act as an extra defensive midfielder on the left. Kolarov is a walking defensive disaster.

Lucio is gone as well ofc and i thought Pogba got a new increased contract, could be wrong though.

Having a 'good defense' didn't help much vs Bayern did it?

not too much? how can it not be too much considering all the other players and their respective salaries i mentioned above?

not signed yet i guess. he joined 2012 and his current contract runs till 2016... doesn´t look like he renewed anywhere in between.
i forgot lucio of course :)

well we kinda tackled this problem by signing llorente and tevez already and still trying to sign jovetic ;)

People already said that about Tevez, I really don't think it would cause problems.

Of course, but you shouldn't just stop there ;)

    Juve lead Inter for Kolarov
    By Football Italia staff

Juventus are battling Inter to bring in Manchester City full-back Aleksandar Kolarov, valued at £6m.

The Serbian international has repeatedly suggested he wants more playing time and is prepared to leave City in order to get it.

Inter had been tracking the former Lazio man for some time, but according to Tuttosport Juventus are surging into the lead.

They have proposed a €1.5m fee (£1.3m) to take Kolarov on loan for a year, plus an option for another €5.5m (£4.7m) to make the move permanent.

The funds would be raised by selling Swiss international Reto Ziegler to either Galatasaray or Besiktas, as they have reportedly offered €4m.

Juve have already done business with Manchester City this week, signing Carlos Tevez for €9m (£7.7m) plus a further potential €6m (£5m) in performance-related bonuses.

no there is a difference. i guess you are refering to people who didn´t want tevez because his wages could cause other players to get envious...
that´s not what i´m talking about. tevez deserves this kind of salary because he is a world class player with high marketing value and because he improves our squad more than any other player we could have possibly signed.
all this doesn´t apply for kolarov. imo it doesn´t make sence to pay a player, who hasn´t been playing well for the last two years and therefore got even benched by clichy (yeah coach, bpl... bla bla), as much as chiellini, who has been an absolute cornerstone of our defense for the last x years...
