I said it again, I will say itr now... forget about Cassano, get Gilardino!!

I tougth that I would never said this, but if Juve can net Gilardino, I would be more open to the idea of Del Piero leaving...
That will happen sooner rather than later.

:sigh: And just a few weeks ago folks here were dismissing Gila as overrated...

Well, he's certainly overrated now... just when his price just about doubled, as it did towards the end of last season.

I sincerely hope we had committed to him well before this weekend. I've always wanted to land him in black and white stripes...
Anybody who has seen Gilardino play multiple times will tell you Alberto is no joke, he's the real deal. Parma is not the best club going foward and sometimes struggles to create chances, yet Gilardino is the top scorer in the League. He has that instinctive positioning and goalscoring touch to become perhaps the best finisher in the world, if he isn't already. Just wait until he plays for a side like Milan or Juve that creates a lot of chances in front of goal. He also does a better job of getting involved with the gameplay than our Trezeguet, so that is certainly a plus for buildup play.

And the biggest difference of the lot is Alberto being a Juventino. He should come to Turin and I hope Moggi is working out a deal to hijack his trip to Milan. I would even give up Zambrotta for him if I had to.

Andy, i completely agree with you, ive been sayin it on the Cassano Thread more than once, Gilardino is needed much more, he is a true Juventus type of player...his style is perfect for us. He deserves our next #10 Jersey.

I'd really rather get rid of both Del Piero and Trezeguet for Gilardino rather than sell Zambrotta although we have Chiellini to cover his position. I just think Zambrotta can do wonders as an attacking winger.

Everything we read in the papers and the Internet leads to a Milan move for Gilardino.

This could mean just one thing: Moggi signed him. :D

Gilardino has declared multiple times that Juventus is his favorite club (yes I know he also said that he would love to play for Milan and Roma). This could give us the advantage in signing him. The only problem is the amount of money involved. Gilardino is more worth then Cassano at the moment, because of his current form, because his contract doesn't expire in 2008, and because Gilardino has the perfect mentality. It would be a dream to sign him, but not if it kills the financial stability.

we payed Emerson 28m € last season but we sold Brighi for 16m €. We could fix something up with Parma.

i guess everyone is bored of the trezewall, he can score goals, but to be honest, all he can do is finish, and that hasnt even been up to scratch lately.....bye bye time.

is very realistic the possibility of juventus netting Gila,,,
