Well, look at it like this, if we could use the money of the spornsership and the money from the scudetto on transfers, why haven't use that money in getting Gilardino insted of Cassano?

I mean, if Juve have the money why do we would have to sell Trez to get Gilardino?

Either we have the money and want to ripe off Roma by obligate them to sell Cassano cheap, or simply we don't have that kinf of money...

In both options, Cassano and Roma WILL have to lower their rates

Well... maybe we have it and maybe not , maybe we have it and its just that we are not ready to spend it in Cassano...

Maybe we do have money to spend, but Moggi knows that there are other priorities like defence and midfield...

And like Zlatan said, the fact that we have money doesn't mean that we have alot of money to spend in transfers, Juventus has to pay wages, mantenience, theres the new stadium thing ,travels, we even have to pay a very large amount of money becouse of a punish that the Lega has just gave us for violence...

The fact the we are one of the Biggest clubs in the world doesn mean that we can spend alot in getting players... Oh, and add the fact that Moggi its not know to throw away money in transfers.

Gilardino off the market

Silvio Berlusconi has confirmed that Milan will not continue to pursue a deal for Parma striker Alberto Gilardino.

The Milan supremo has confirmed that Parma are asking too high a fee for their prolific marksman and that, in any case, they are now reluctant to sell.

Gilardino, who has also been watched by Chelsea, had been expected to complete a move to Milan but the deal now appears to have reached an impasse.

Berlusconi has revealed that with Parma for sale - a Swiss group are expected to purchase the Gialloblu in the next few days - the future of Gilardino is far from certain.

Italy's Prime Minister believes Gilardino is now to stay at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, with the club's likely new owners reluctant to sell.

''He will remain at Parma and it isn't only because he is too expensive,'' said Berlusconi.

''But also because he is no longer on the market.

''They (Parma) are negotiating the club's sale and so I think that they who buy Parma wouldn't like to let Gilardino leave.''

Whilst a move for Gilardino appears for the moment to be beyond Chelsea and Milan not interested in Jose Mourinho's admiration for Andrei Shevchenko, fresh speculation has linked the English champions with David Trezeguet.

The Juventus hit-man has never expressed an inclination to quit the Turin giants but this has not stopped several sources linking the Frenchman with a move to Stamford Bridge.

Nobody is second guessing anybody. Like i said, its pretty clear now that Juve and Milan arent interefering in each other's business. I havent heard Juve bid for Gila, and i havent heard Milan bid for Cassano. Thats pretty straight forward to me.
However you can never be sure of what Moggi is actually thinking there at his desk in Turin. You might not be hearing about any moves in the media, but as you know some of our deals over the years came out of the blue, with no rumors at all before the aquisition. We can never be sure of what actually will happen, because nobody, and I mean nobody, has been successful at guessing Moggi's transactions.

Moggi's purchases may be wildly unpredictable but I'm sure he knows better than to hijack any Milan targets. He doesn't want trouble with Milan of all clubs.

Milan get back in to Gila race Sunday 26 June, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alberto Gilardino’s move to Milan could still be on after all, explains Vice-President Adriano Galliani, though Chelsea’s competition remains.

This week patron Silvio Berlusconi told journalists that he believed Parma’s new owners would keep hold of their top scorer, even if someone were to meet his £25m price-tag.

“It is true that Gilardino is too expensive right now, but Berlusconi does not know for sure that the new Tardini owners are against his sale altogether,” pointed out Galliani. “All he was talking about was a hunch rather than any insider information.”

This means that the door is still open for developments in this on-going transfer saga. Gilardino and his agent have made it perfectly clear for some months now that his preferred destination is Milan – this could prove decisive.

While Chelsea are distracted by the chance of signing Juve’s David Trezeguet or even Atletico Madrid starlet Fernando Torres, the Rossoneri will continue to whittle down the difference between asking price and offer.

They cannot afford to wait around, however, as Hernan Crespo is increasingly likely to be recalled by Chelsea and Pippo Inzaghi’s injury worries mean he cannot be relied upon to take the strain of an entire season.

Italian newspaper ‘Corriere dello Sport-Stadio’ claims this morning that Milan are instead turning their attention towards Antonio Cassano and have offered cash plus Christian Abbiati and Jon Dahl Tomasson to seal the £13m deal, but it’s believed that if Berlusconi is to bring in one major new signing it will be Gilardino.
