It would all depend on who we'd get to replace him. He's shown some decent signs so I don't know if I would be selling him this year.
His market value is around 10-15m. I see no point to sell him at this price, on the other hand we need to rebuild the defense. It depends a lot on the formation, if Tudor put 3 CBs we need at least one more defender on the roster.

An extinct flightless bird that was endemic to the island of Mauritius.
Have to say it, miss Sami not being here along Blaise in MF.

Sami 7508 total Juve league only minutes ....
21 goals 12 assists

Locatelli 10465 total Juve league only minutes ....
6 goals 12 assists

And I kept posting we needed more offense from our defensive type midfielders. :sergio:

And now the report is €18m + 10% future resale. Why do we need this, Costa just starting to show what he capable and can improve further. Really frustating
It's a pretty recent report but it also says 'we'd like more' so let's wait a bit and see how this works out. Difficult to comment when no replacements are being named. But the 'Weah deal might be blocked then' sounds awful to me. He has been tried and tested. Costa hasn't been.

Why isn't Lloyd Kelly on Comolli's shit list?
he allegedly is on the market, but unsurprisingly no takers yet

i also read that the club won't let any names out, so any rumor is based on info from either agents, other clubs, or just pure speculation. no wonder it all sounds chaotic

as for costa, jj allegedly refused that 20m offer because guimaraes have a % on future resale and we paid around 14m for him, so it doesn't make sense to get rid of a prospect for a plusvalenza of a few millions only

Alberto Costa has been here for 6 months. Why not let him develop further? Send him out on loan if he really isn't part of Two Door Sedan's plans FFS.

We're making a big mistake.

When we are in a situation where we can barely sell anyone despite having half of the squad on the transfer list i don’t think we are in a position to be refusing anything close to €20M for a player that would not be an automatic starter in our plans, whereas a loan wouldn’t make much sense when there is a considerable fee on the table even if he has potential to further develop(unless Tudor actually values him and sees him as a first choice that is), maybe inserting a buyback clause or a sell on clause could be more of an option, but then Sporting CP will likely reduce their offer too…

With that being said i’d also make sure we have better alternatives already lined up before even considering about letting go of both Alberto Costa and Weah, there isn’t an abundance of available good fullbacks, nor do they tend to be cheap on the market.

I don't see how selling him and buying dodo is an upgrade the guy is 26 soon to be 27 and never even played a single international game other than youth level. Who wants a Brazilian rb who doesn't even play for Brazil? Wolves probably. Plus let's face it fiorentina players joining us haven't gone well recently

We are about to sell Costa for a 3M profit...

Keep in mind we overpaid for him to begin with.

I think his fair value is 5M.
his speed alone is worth double figures in 2025

sporting will make a nice plusvalenza on him. if we're selling around 15-18m as reported (which i doubt, i honestly don't know the source), then it's a bad deal that confirms that jj can't sell even marketable players. guy wants to return home, sporting want him, all we say is "all right"? fuck off with that mentality

I didn't even think he was that fast. He was basically invisible when I saw him in DC. Nothing special at all about him, IMO.
