Aquilani's move has really come out of nowhere. I really like him, but we seem to be adding players to positions that already covered. Krasic is a Right winger, when we need a left. With Marchisio, Sissoko and Felipe Melo there, how is Aquilani going to get a starting shirt?

Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani's move to Juventus cancelled.

Roy Hodgson intimated last night that the former Roma youngster was likely to go back to Italy temporarily.

Juventus have been in the market for a ball-playing central midfielder all summer, but attention has so far focused on Lazio's Cristian Ledesma.

Juventus had finally found an agreement with Liverpool for Aquilani which was supposed to take the Italian to Turin. Juventus was supposed to pay his wages (around 2m Euros) but apparently some Juventuz users and shareholder's unwillingness to pay his wages saw the move cancelled. They stated that after finally getting rid of Poulsen's wages they're not prepared to commit themselves with a new player's wages.

Il Corriere understands that those users will now focus their attention on another candidate for Juventus midfield position, more specifically Jermaine Jenas, Juventuz spokeperson said to the press "Jenas is a more realistical option for us and all Juventus fan around the globe".

It is thought that the mastermind behind this was the user Turk_Bianconero who also is in talks to renew Sissoko's contract until he retires. However, the deal which will see "Momo" for life in Juventus is still in preliminary talks.

Aquilani's agent Franco Zavaglia has said that Juventus are cheap bastards and that he hopes he'll never have to do business with them again.

Il Corriere are so confident that the Jenas operation will be done within a couple days.

He is going to earn it. Nice having some competition there so it brings the best out of our players if they really want to start. Plus injuries, it's nice having backup.

All our wingers play both sides so it didn't matter if we sign a left or right winger.

Because simply 3 players aren't enough for 3 competitions. He'll miss many matches so it's not like it's gonna be over-crowded.

I asked the same thing in the morning and I don't like the fact that it will be Melo/Momo fielded with Marchisio/Aquilani.

    You're kidding, right, my friend?

If healthy, Aquilani is head and shoulders above Sissoko and Melo.

When was the last time they had a deep lying playmaker like this?

He is exactly what they need on this team, and to be quite honest, I personally can live with a platoon of Pepe and Lanzafame as the left wingers if the ohter three are Krasic, Marchisio, and Aquilani.

Unless you are one of those who thought that marotta could fix all the problems in 3 months

No way there's going to be an option to buy, why would Liverpool do that? I don't recall them hiring Secco.
Well, all of Hodgson's comments have hinted to Alberto coming back to Liverpool. But the Italian papers suggest otherwise.
