I think it might be jumping the gun a bit. For the sake of 6m when he is a known injury prone player...:undecide:

I'm impressed so far though, could take it easy on some of the long balls however! We all know our strikers don't like to move around. :sigh:

We should switch to a 4-3-3 so Melo, Marchisio and Aquilani can play. Those three together has the potential to be a quality midfield. Also, players like Lanzafame and Martinez would play in their prefered positions.

And if we end up signing Dzeko next season then a 4-3-3 with that midfield and him, Krasic and Giovinco or some new LW could be considered a quality team out in Europe.

Now just fix our defense.

Giovinco is not coming back. He'll end up fighting relegation for the rest of his career.

I'd rather play Sissoko in a 3 man mid than Marchisio.

So, something like this?

Martinez Iaquinta Krasic

Marchisio Melo Aquaman

De Ceglie Bonucci Chiellini Motta

Buffon/Storari

I don't know, it could work but I'm not sure if Krasic can be more of a goal scorer, he would have to be in that position. You also run into the trouble of whenever you have injuries or need to rest someone in the midfield, we'd have to switch back to 442 anyway since our only cover for that position is Sissoko.

We don't have enough depth in Midfield at the moment to play 4-3-3. We would at least need another cm.

Our squad roster is for 4-4-2

Let our 4 cm rotate the 2 positions. Injuries and fatigue will require them to anyhow.

Juventus seek cut-price £10m deal for Liverpool flop Alberto Aquilani

Juventus intend to capitalise on Liverpool’s financial problems by sealing a cut-price £10million deal for Alberto Aquilani in the January transfer window.

The Italy midfielder, a flop at Anfield since his £18m move from Roma last year, joined Juventus on a season-long loan in the summer.

A permanent £16m move has been discussed, but Juve sense an opportunity to lower the price and are ready to negotiate it down to around £10m. They may also make an approach for defender Glen Johnson if they fail to prise Gregory van der Wiel away from Ajax.
Liverpool’s former Ajax winger Ryan Babel has been linked with a swap deal for Valencia star Juan Mata.

Sounds sweet but why on earth would we wanna sign Johnson?

I wouldn’t pay anything over 10M for this guy. Barring he has a stellar season including remaining healthy for the majority of the season.

I don't see DP finishing his career in Juve. He loves football too much to sit on the bench or retire and sooner or later the club's interests will crash with his and he's going to move on. Just like happened with Raul. I wouldn't be surprised if he moves to the MLS after this season or the next.
