The long expected Marvel Cinema Universe TV Show had started yesterday.

I'm about to watch the pilot episode, I heard it's good. Not sure how I like the whole idea of CSI: Marvel but I hope they will eventually include superheroes and supervillains in the show one way or another.

I will add more text after watching this.

Its a weak pilot, but it shows some promise, will keep watching (what else is there to do for 40 mins a week lol) because of the superhero element, and mainly because its a Joss Whedon element. We already saw signs of it with some of the lines, but in overall for a pilot I expected alot better from him.

Well this was weird. They've even integrated Iron Man 3 shit into this.

What annoys me is that basically everyone in this show is hot. Especially all of the girls. They are all so freaking plastic looking that it makes it unreal. Same thing that happens in Arrow.

A thread dedicated to this weak sauce? Would much rather watch Top Chef of Million Dollar Listing.

Sounds like a major problem. ;)

I know it sounds weird but it actually is problematic for a TV show. It just feels stupid and unrealistic. A homeless girl living in a van who is just freaking perfect looking, including sexy clothes and model hairstyle.

And it annoys people. I've entered imdb.com and there are shitloads of threads saying how stupid it is for everyone to be extremely hot top model.

Its only sky who is "hot" (that science girl and asian milf arent exactly super duper hot :p), normal kind of hot btw, and she is supposed to be a geeky hacker nerd, Joss Whedon likes that archetype . Weird thats the first thing you would complain about, when it was fairly bland for a pilot in overall. Less suprising when I find out it only has Joss Whedons name on it, and its mainly done by his brother instead, meh.

Well I won't judge the plot since it's only been 1 episode. I can judge the cast though and I don't like it.

    Superhero series in unrealistic shocker.
    Was not the point.

Thats the bussiness, and Whedon shows previous female leads go by the names of Michelle Gellar, Elisha Dushku, Amy Acker, Morena Baccarin and so on. Babes who are well soothed enough for nerdy fanfare.

Yeah well this happened before and will happen again. It just really felt out of place in this episode. I wonder if this is made by the same people that made Smallville and Arrow.

Well it happend before, and with fantastic results (only Elisha Dushku wasnt so great amongst those names), you need to get over good looking people being in a multi-billion industry.

I don't mind good looking cast. I mind when it is really overdone to the point of feeling stupid which happens here.

Hey, we're talking Marvel Comics here -- they're not exactly known for their documentaries. :p

I get you if you are complaining about CW, the channel that does Arrow, Vampire Diaries, Smallville, Nikita, Pretty Little liars and so and so on with shows targeted towards teens/young adults. Its generally filled with limited actors chosen for their looks (basically "models" just a step above daytime soap level). But I wouldnt certainly accuse you this of this show so far, its nothing new that a new unknown actress is chosen for a show, especially a Whedon show. Though if it was, so what? Its based on a superficial medium like comics, and a Marvel one to boot.

And she isnt that hot, you kinda exaggerating if it distracted you that much.
