So ivory coast sacked their manager after the 4-0 humiliation to equatorial guinea and somehow made it through the next round, whilst they've asked the French FA if they can loan afcon managing legend and former Saudi Arabia manager Herve Renard for the remainder of the tournament

Senegal tried to corto muso it after scoring in the 4th minute. Ivory Coast has been all over them & equalised in the 86th minute.

Hahahaha, all on Senegal. They may have rekindled the flame in this so far quite useless Ivory Coast.

Niakhaté who missed the penalty is totally broken

Ivory Coast, who have been garbage up until this point, somehow make it to the AFCON QFs.

They got stuffed by Equatorial Guinea a few days ago too.

Morocco on their way out (they have been so cocky this whole tournament). I don't remember an AFCON version where none of the North African countries progressed to the final 8.

South Africa played a disciplined game and took their chances. Ziyech's absence was a massive contributor.

Wow. Cameroon, Senegal, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia all out before the QFs. All the finalists and semi finalists from the past 3 editions, except for Nigeria, failing to progress past the first knockout round.

Yet, that garbage Ivory Coast team that got stuffed by Equatorial Guinea (who have been eliminated) are still in the tournmanet, along with a meh South Africa, and an average Guinea.

If Nigeria or Ivory Coast can't win this ANC when 7 of their best traditional competition are out already? Then they have no hope.

But yeah this is a bizzare underdog ANC. All they did with format was add 2 extra teams and all this happens lol
