went to some shops today, the 2220.80 is actually about £400 cheaper than the chronograph version, i'm also very tempted by the co-axial aqua terra, it has a see through case back which is very cool

I hear you man, the thing is, for one, i tend to sell these watches on after a few years of use, and they retain their value to about 60-70% of their buying price, in terms of the vacations i get company holidays paid for (got paid £1000 to go to dubai, and got £1000 spending money) so holidays are covered, i have a decentish car, and i have been working very very hard and have some spare cash so i just thought why not treat myself, i do understand what you're saying though, my brother was asying the same, he's happy with his £100 seiko, guess it's just different opinions

civil engineer (in theory, i don't have a degree but i've learnt through work experience) but mostly do business side of things, bit of engineering stuff here an there

When I bought my 2220.80 the price difference between it and the Chronograph was around 200 USD.

Are you sure you have checked the price of the 2220.80 the one that has the Co-Axial movement? It might have been the older model. Did it have Co-Axial written on it with a red seamaster?

yea, my wrist isn't that huge, i once had a 45mm watch and i thought it looked too big, i'd say 41mm is the biggest i like to go, so the seamaster is fine for that, i guess stretching to the 42mm wouldn't be so bad, but if i bought the po i would want the chronograph version of that, and that is definately more expensive noticably

#2 no question for me.

3 and 4 are just trying too hard, to get stuff on it you'll never need. They make you look like a wannabee adventurer, or someone who buys a supercool car to get the groceries and drop off his kids. Bottom line: it's just too much show off. but that's just my opinion.

A nice watch is something you can keep all your life. I have a nice Omega myself, which I got for my 16th birthday. I don't wear it too often, but it's real nice to take it out of for the special occasions.
