Right so heres the deal, my xbox has broken twice and my insurance company have decided not to repair and it and have given £140 ($200 ish) to buy a new console. Should i get a new xbox and reinsure it for when it decided to cough up blood again or should i sell all my xbox shit and get a PS3?

I know quite a few of you have PS3's so can you tell me if its worth the extra £50 ($75)?

I know quite a few people who own either an XBox, a PS3, or both.

A significant amount of those people have had troubles with their XBox'es so far, no one has had their PS3 dying on them.

If I were in your shoes & my console had broken down twice already, I wouldn't even think about buying the same one again. I'd rather pay a tad more money for something that will keep working for a long time, than pay less for something that needs replacing / fixing repeatedly.

As for the differences in possibilities & games, I'll let someone else do the talking. I really don't know enough of that, I'm only a casual gamer myself.

I am not a 5 years, a housewife or someone that hosts parties all the time. I wouldn't legitimatly use it. My mum has one so if i had an urge to wave my hands around like someone with epilepsy at a rave i can use hers.

I get what your saying buck but i have a shed load of games for my xbox and i will get fuck all if i sell them. Are the games any good on ps3?

    I wasn't recommending Wii to you :D

I was just asking, because I want to get one, and I am not sure if I get Wii or PS3!

I bought a slim ps3 a few months back and I love it. I also had to buy a new 360 because my last one(3 years old) decided to crap out with the RRoD. That being said I play my PS3 waay more than the 360.

Everything about the PS3 seems superior, with the exception of online play as Xbox Live is a bit more polished in regards to some games. Although if it's a big name like MW2 or something than online is going to be just as good. But like Fifa I have noticed runs a lot better and smoother on Xbox Live.

Either way the choice is yours. But having owned only a 360 for the majority of the time I can comfortably say I believe the PS3 is the way to go. Plus you get a blueray player!

Here's some advice, man up and get a PS3. The 360 more useless than an aborted mexican fetus.

    De nada

IMO it all depends upon which games you want to play, 360 has the games I want so I bought that.

PS3. All day any day, twice on Sunday and three times over on Jewish Holidays.

I have both, and I prefer the PS3.

Much more value out of the box with the Blu Ray player, free Wi-fi, the best 1st party studios in the world, free online, the ability to use third party peripherals and being able to swap out your hard drive for a bigger one.

    VinnyCafoneJr is my PSN ID.

Be my friend, if you dare.

    Yes, I am a PS3 expert.

I am leaning heavily that way because of the blu ray player, i was going to get one in the summer anyway because of blu ray.

Mostly the same games as an xbox except for exclusives?

80 or 90% of the games are the same on Xbox & PS3 if you ask me.

Of course, if you really do have a load of games for the Xbox, that could influence your opinion.
A problem which I'll never have myself. As I am the proud owner of only 5 PS3 games :D

iv got about 15 xbox games. If i can cough up £150 more for the bundle pack i would get, which is ps3 250 gb with asscreed 2 and codmw2 which is £300 (ps3 250gb is £269) then i would go for that, just depends how much i can get for the games iv got.

Could you be a tad more specific as far as games you like to play?

take the Multi Platform titles out of the equation.
