Against Lyon, he played nonchalantly.
Lately he’s been showing some proper signs of improvement and i really believed he is settling well by now but this last few games he just seemed to play without giving a crap, which is a bit odd to say the least...

Hopefully either he or somebody else will sort out this attitude issue because we will be needing him, even if just for depth.

Keep playing the kid. Can't really fairly evaluate him with this Sarri mess of a team. Believe will be an asset with Sarri or the next manager.
Sure play him, but my gut is telling me he wont pull his weight in big games, Serie A or CL. He will show flashes and some good moves against mediocre Serie A teams and people will become hopeful but those hopes would soon get deflated when he fails to show up when it matters. For the salary hes been given, he needs to do hell of a lot more. After almost 1600 minutes how many goals or assists has he contributed with? Hes a b2b mid, isnt he?

The people that say he’s been excellent, I don’t really see it if I’m being honest. He’s ranged from poor to decent. Haven’t seen any extraordinary games from him or even any games where he looked “special.” Definitely not what is required to take the team to the next level and doesn’t really improve the quality of the midfield that much.

Also, he has a very languid style of play like he’s barely putting any effort out there.

Another average midfield player adds our insane midfield of average players. They are worldclass in being average.

At least Emre Can is better than this guy. Is he looking for a new club this summer?
Emre Can had balls and a great mentality even though he wasnt worldclass but I dont think that any of our current midfield players are better than him at the moment.

Sarri needs to grab him by the manbun and drag his ass to tegista position
Why the people here always hates long hair

Give him some time. Hopefully will get Matuidi time on the pitch next season. Enough age on the squad that young is the way to go here without much difference (if any) in ability.

His problem is his attitude on the pitch. Even with Matuidi gone, I’m not sure I would want him as my starting LCM. His quality is OK (not top class imo) but his languid style of play is a little frustrating.

He has the same relaxed style of play as Pirlo and Kroos.

The problem is that he doesn’t have the footballing talent to pull it off.

It’s simple. If you want to be a top midfielder, you either have extraordinary talent (Pirlo) or you work your balls off (Matuidi, Kante, Henderson).

Pjanic and Rabiot need to realize that they don’t have the talent to be like Pirlo, and start working hard.

Finally he can be useful to the team as he is the one who should suggest best movies to watch and video games to play when you’re professional football player/millionaire and you’re not playing football for months.
