Given that she is already considering the renewal here it could also mean that they did not get any better offers from anywhere else where Rabiot might’ve been tempted to go, so perhaps there’s some room for negotiating those high wages to at least spread or mix them into more performance related bonuses.

I guess only time will tell.

He is back to being decidedly average and mediocre from what I can surmise (his true self), but perhaps his tepid performances aren't exacerbated further owing to the lack of valid alternatives and the general sad state of our midfield.
