In all seriousness though, we’ll see a bunch of these extensions until our finances are back in order. Which also means that I’d be surprised to see any big signings for the next couple of years. We are back to “market opportunities” I suppose.

Also in all seriousness, what is the next course of action here once @Bianconero81 reads this blasphemous news???

I think i speak for everyone here when suggesting that a healthy thread ban should be in place temporarily to prevent any seppuku risks.

At least he can save money by not subscribing to watch games.

That could sure be the first step towards maintaining a good mental health.

Jokes aside, regarding the renewal itself at least we might be able to cash in on him either this summer or the next rather than losing him for free and then not having the budget to replace him adequately.

For the best imo, if Giuntoli is as good as everybody was saying

But Veronique doesn't care about the club. She'll do whatever she can to negotiate maybe the last fat contract for his son.

If Man Utd sack their manager, I'd try and send him there with his father Allegri.
Take Pogba also.

Given that she is already considering the renewal here it could also mean that they did not get any better offers from anywhere else where Rabiot might’ve been tempted to go, so perhaps there’s some room for negotiating those high wages to at least spread or mix them into more performance related bonuses.

I guess only time will tell.

He should have never received an initial extension in the first place. He is back to being decidedly average and mediocre from what I can surmise (his true self), but perhaps his tepid performances aren't exacerbated further owing to the lack of valid alternatives and the general sad state of our midfield.
