If he plays this year as well as he did last year then it's a no brainier imo
He's been playing better than he normally has for Juve over the course of his stint here but at the end of the day, he's still dispensable. We'd be paying elite wages for a player that has the talent but doesn't have the mentality to lead the midfield.

He's a timid bloke who's had his moments. He extended with us for merely a year because he didn't get better offers elsewhere. It should be an easy decision to get rid of him even if it's for free.

I'd rather lose a 30 year old for free than risk the potential of having another player on the books thats impossible to get rid of.
If we gave him a 2 or 3 year deal tho, I think he would have been sellable this summer. Saudis and EPL are loaded, there is an Euro and he seems to be in great form

When you look at our potential starting lineup this weekend and see McKennie listed there as a starter for the first home game of the season then i don’t think you would view Rabiot as that dispensable anymore, i for one sure don’t, the guy has been almost always fit and one of our best players consistently for the past year or so and we actually lack another player of a similar mould, while also not being too confident that the management could find someone as good without a transfer fee involved on top of the wages, which will again be problematic when losing your main CM for free…

The high wages are still ofc debatable, but at the same time we’ve been paying just as much if not more for Pogba to be a permanent resident at JMedical, while also having absolutely no guarantee that letting Rabiot leave for free would mean using those saved up wages more efficiently.

This applies to Rabiot, Fagioli, Miretti & Locatelli. Our midfield regulars all have some of the worst passing I've ever seen in televised football. 90 minutes filled with absolutely butchering 5 yard passes under hardly any pressure. It's embarrassing.

Honestly I thought Rabiot was fucking fantastic in this game.

His positioning, decision making, passing, work rate, running and positional play were all first rate. Locatelli and Fagioli kept trying shit that didn't come off or misreading the play but Rabiot was on top of it the whole time. Hoping to see much more of this from him through the season.

What r u talking about. He was mess, slowing down attack plays, half of the time don't bothered to run, misplacing passes.
Big mistake was giving him that salary for one more year.

Only watched the first half yesterday, so can't comment on his second half performance. He could have easily been red carded when he made another foul minutes after getting a yellow and ref played an advantage to Bologna and didn't stop play.
