What Rubbish..?

Just because he was out this year for a month or two, it doesnt make him an injury-prone. Adriano is physically very strong to be injured a lot.

How could you come up with such a comment? that sounds like a pure assumption to me. Do you even watch the games? I wonder..
Its not an assumption. I know Adriano has a good physical frame, but i personally feel he's an injury prone player. And spending 65 mil, on him would not be the right thing to do. Although he performs when on the pitch, theres a good chance he would be spending some time off it as well. So that kind of nullifies his contribution to some extent. And when there's an entire season to go through, I know Adriano wouldnt be the ideal choice.

Probably for every other team, but in Chelsea's case they have all the backup they need to replace Ariano when the need arises and they can well afford to pay 65m for a player who only plays in two thirds of the matches.

Emerson for once enjoyed the match, he didnt have much to do with Kaka, Robinho, Ronaldinho and Adriano in attack. Brazil is surely going to win in it next year.

Inter reject Chelsea’s Adriano ‘bid’ Tuesday 7 June, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inter have rejected speculation that they’ve received a £65m bid from Chelsea for Adriano.

The Brazilian is a known target for the Stamford Bridge outfit but the Nerazzurri have no plans to sell the striker.

"There has been no super offer. That fee may be the right valuation for him but nobody at Inter has moved to talk about his possible sale," confirmed owner Massimo Moratti.

"Adriano is staying. We are counting on the player and are hoping that we can do well together in the future."

With Moratti insisting that Adriano is staying, he was then questioned about whom could join him at the San Siro next season.

Real Madrid stopper Walter Samuel has been associated but Moratti wasn’t given too much away.

"Samuel? We still haven’t decided," he added. "We only need to make a few moves on the transfer market but they will be good ones.

"We will wait until after the Coppa Italia Final to decide and understand what has to be done, without destroying a group that has performed well this term."

The oil baron then refused to talk about speculation linking Inter with Alberto Gilardino, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.

"It seems as if all players who are on the market get linked with us," he conceded.

But Moratti did open the door for Santiago Solari to join from Real Madrid – three years after an initial link.

"We have been following him for a long time and he is a player who we could target," he confirmed.

Meanwhile, whispers in the peninsula on Tuesday suggest that Inter are also pondering a bid for Roma defender Cristian Chivu.
