it's 5:30 pm here in egypt...and there are already 16,000 fans in the stadium (full capacity = 25,000)....the tension is biulding as there are less than 3 hours for the game

one of my friends called me from inside the stadium ... he told me THE STADIUM IS PACKED....2 hours before the game and there's no more places left for any more fans ...

    Eurosport are running commentary here, but I think the BBC commentary is more concise, only bad part is that you have to refresh by yourself.

    No one in Naija is showing because today was our FA Cup (Challenge Cup) final.

    Like I said earlier in this thread, I think Etoile are the Valencia of the CCL.

    But next year the trophy will come back to where it belongs:

    Finally got home, and SuperSport are showing the match. This is what Yujam has to say:

    Ahly played some brilliant football for an extended period of the first half in front of a full house. Etoile on the other hand, have looked very rattled especially during the periods of heavy Ahly dominance in the first half. In fact, Etoile have only managed to produce a handful of chances on counters. Emeka Opara has been absolutely woeful and his level of effort in this one is less than what one expects from a player at this stage. The Ahly defenders have walked the ball past him.

    Does anyone know how many Ahly players are in Egypt squad? I'd imagine at least 6 because these guys play football at a very high level.

    Party has already started in the stadium. The stands are awash in red flags. The crowd chanting and beating non-stop since the goal several minutes ago.

    Etoile come close as Ahly keeper couldn't deal with high ball.. Hmm maybe a weakness in Ahly?

    Ahly Nationale of Egypt are champions of Africa. They'll play the Saudi side Ittihad in the Wolrd Club Championship next month in Tokyo...

    just got home......WHAT A NIGHT !!!

    HUGE Celebrations........i went to the club and the streets were full of people.....the cars couldn't move

    It was like a RED ocean.....FLAGS AND SONGS AND PEOPLE CELEBRATING.....It was a night of a lifetime

    i am so tired now....maybe i will tell more details tomorrow
