I believe that eveything in tnhe human life has it origin in the battle for survival and breeding. We go to school to get better jobs, to earn more money, to get married, and be able to give the best conditions to our kid, which will mean the continuence of the species. At the start it was just about getting food and shelter, but as society advanced so did our survival-greed.

Wich is why I didn't mention survival. What was you objection to my post? :)
No objection, i just said that cos u were talking about the baker on the street making bread for his family, not other people; and that sounded a bit more like survival than greed :)

    What? How? Who? When?
 relax dude, it's just that you quoted my post saying the following:

But can greed exist when everything is in abundance anyway?
and then said that u didn't picture me as an optimist... but u conveniently left out the part of my post that said:

Well I guess there's really no limit to greed :(

I think we'd be dead. If we're spoilt with riches and techonology i.e. robotic slaves, we'd be too lazy and... well, spoilt. In that sense I guess we're dead because we don't use much of our energy or brains to do something, because everything is there for us. There is no challenge.

It is the doom of humankind.

Wow, I feel like Cate Blanchett in LOTR.
