Its not potential, hes been doing it for years.
Look back to his major debut to see jus how good he is.... oscar nominated in his first real role.... and robbed of the award in one of the biggest wrongdoings in modern oscar history....

Ed Norton in Primal Fear an acting performance second to virtually nothing before or since.

He may have been in the odd naff film but not once has put in anything but a stellar turn

He is great actor and he was wonderful in Primal Fear. Amazing, great, everything.
