  1. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

leader may not be the right word. i meant difference maker, like Camoranesi in some of the last games, like Diego in the start of the season, like Buffon in many games this season. someone who brings the average performance of the team up with his quality and work rate. and no, Trezeguet...
  2. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

and now re-read your previous post :D
  3. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

well then read it one more time.
  4. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

the debate was/is whether Trez is better than Eto'O.
  5. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

lol, he has been a great player and is true legend for us and i've said it many times, but right now he isn't a leader of the team anymore (even if the stats of this season says so), he is just a solid team player and he doesn't deserve the praise he is having, you are overrating him here, he is...
  6. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

So, basically you just said that no one cares if Trez fails to unlock defenses when we are doing badly (i'm not saying he has not done this thus far), as long as he can make our 2 or 3 goal advantage bigger in the end of an successful game. Well, actually i do care about that and there might be...
  7. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

What kind of discussion are you talking about now? :D If anything, i miss Seven and hate the fact that useless guys like JCK have the power to ban him.
  8. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

Why on earth i should ask for further explanation if a member comes and calls my analysis lame? It's not like i care about your thoughts anyway, so you can keep your great explanation to yourself.
  9. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

Well purely counting by games it turned out that Trez has got 0.57 while Eto'O 0.54 since 2002./03., but as i said i don't have the minutes. And still, i stand to my point that Eto'O right know has reached his prime, while Trez hasn't been in good form for 2 years now, which is the reason why...
  10. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

Thanks. At first you laugh at deeper thoughts like match-winning goals and later you bring up unproved myths like anyone could score at Barca because of Xavi, Messi, Iniesta (maybe Xavi could got so many assists because of Eto'O, Henry and others?) or it's easier to score in Spain and when...
  11. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

funny how one minute it works for you and then against you. They don't tackle in Spain and play 244, right?
  12. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

You mean stats like - "Eto'O had better service" or stats like "It's easier to score in Spain"? :D Because that's what you're going to say now, right? :)
  13. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

    juve and mallorca 2002./03. - Trez 13, Eto'O 14 2003./04. - Trez 20, Eto'O 21 juve and barca 2004./05. - Trez 13, Eto'O 28 2005./06. - Trez 29, Eto'O 32 2006./07. - Trez 15, Eto'O 13 2007./08. - Trez 20, Eto'O 18 2008./09. - Trez 3, Eto'O 34 juve and inter 2009./10. - Trez 6, Eto'O 6 i didn't...
  14. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

No, not ever, talk about now. Is Trez better now? Am I really the only one that thinks that Eto'O actually is if not miles, than hundreds of meters ahead of Trezeguet right now?
  15. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

Seem's like not high enough. The guy scored in both CL finals Barca won and if we consider the recent years, Trez has nothing on him, not even the goal rate.
  16. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

    Is Trezeguet better than Eto'O?
  17. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

Trez has been loyal to us and scored many goals and showed that he's a true legend. We totally agree here. But right know he is not between the top strikers in Europe, unlike Eto'O, unlike Ibrahimovič and unlike Torres, he can't offer the same these guys can, that's what I'm saying. He still is...
  18. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

    1) You are the one that brought in statistics. 2) Well if you compare player against player and use the stats of this season, this automatically leaves the injured guys out, so we still should be better if most of the players are better, but right now we are not. And don't fool yourself, it's...
  19. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

Well at least it makes a bit more sense that strikers can be rated only by goals scored. Sure, it's useful and good, but if by some point of the season our dear Trez has more goals than Ibrahimovič, Eto'O or whoever, that doesn't mean he is the better striker just like that.
  20. Season of Transition...Exciting Times.

So you compared the players individually but using only the stats of this season and it came out that Juve actually is stronger than Inter although we are behind by 5 points? Wow.
