To be fair Gilardino didn't exactly get alot of service.

I would like to see Quagliarella given a chance. Also Gattuso could add some real grit to the midfield, but not really the offensive edge we've been missing. Too bad Pirlo won't be able to start against Slovakia.

I don't think dropping out in the group stage is going to help our players perform well in the next season. Also Camo needs 3 months of rest if he is to rediscover his true form. I really like him but at this point I'm not expecting him to shine anymore.

Sure, in terms of general appeal it would be better if Italy made it through, but the fact that they're the current World Champion makes it all the more undignified to get past NZ by winning a draw.

Yeah but having to win a draw to get ahead of NZ is so undignified. I'd rather they let NZ through based on their lower FIFA ranking. Let's just hope it doesn't come to that.

Absolutely, but when you play your first two games like we did you really use your right to complain about meeting a tough opponent in the first playoff game.

I kinda think they already don't deserve it by not being able to beat NZ. Ok the offside goal did change their plan, but they still should've been able to turn the game around. They hardly managed to create chances and it was obvious before the game that NZ would pretty much defend all the way.

Not my problem anymore. I've never seen Burke say anything worth reading anyways, so I don't think I'll be missing anything :D
