Ultimately, that is up to him. But if he plays like a stud in Serie A they'll keep him. Khedira was close to being excluded, and then he impressed Sarri. But yeah, if he stays on the bench during Serie A, he's probably out the door in January.

He still could be added in the knockouts. It's very early, and the team is learning the system. If he impresses in Serie A, I'm sure he will be added for the knockouts. He shouldn't get too discouraged, and hopefully it lights a fire under his butt and he performs better.

I think he is a player you must keep. IMO you can have specialist players in your starting XI, but it's more useful in your subs to have some versatility. Can can play CM, CDM, CB, and RB. He is technical & strong. He has his limitations, but he is about as good as you can get for a bench player...
