Its not. There was no gun to their head when they were sent for war. I don't see an uproar in the US by the returned troops blaming the govt for making them do terrible things. There are few protests here and there but is that all you would have wanted if your family was killed and your nation...

Ah, the best option is to join the military excuse again. I'm sure poor people back in afghanistan who became militants (most) had no other option too. They go into poor vilages to recruit for them and offered them the best available option,so they are right when they attack western cities too?
