    [Serie A] Juventus - Reggina

Excellent post, denco. He's right Andy, you've said in the past that Trezeguet is a better player than Montella but the latter is only prospering because of the players he plays with and how they play. To then go on to say that the fact that our style of play doesn't suit Del Piero is...

Zlatan has a lot more assists but he has also played a lot more than DP. I find it quite disappointing that Ibra hasn't scored a goal in the CL yet.

He has been inconsistent, I admit that, but I still think he's having a good season. He's our topscorer and is playing well. He had another excellent spell earlier on this season.

Indeed, statistics don't always tell the truth, but Del Piero is having a good season imo.

He hasn't been amazing but I think he's having a good season. A month and a half ago there was no doubt that Zlatan was our best forward but Alex is giving him a good run for his money. He's scoring goals as well as getting involved in the build up and creating for others.

Graham said this a while back and he's so right: Del Piero's goal celebrations are similar to those of a young child whose emotions just explode :D He's brilliant to watch.

Buffon - Made three good saves on Borriello. 6.5 Zebina - Didn't really instill confidence at the back but looked pretty good going forward. 6 Thuram - Solid. 6.5 Cannavaro - Solid. 6.5 Zambrotta - He's had better games. Wasn't very good at either end of the pitch. 5...

Juventus 1 - 0 Reggina Del Piero 65 (J) A splendid Alessandro Del Piero strike proved enough to see off Reggina after a hard-fought game with more than a few scares for Juve. The Amaranto are only one of three teams to have beaten Juventus in Serie A so far this season and Fabio...

    [Serie A] Juventus - Reggina

We sucked in the first half but in the end I thought we played well enough to win. Nice finish by Del Piero who was quite poor in the first period but excellent in the second. Zlatan came about as close as he possibly could to breaking his goal drought with that header that cannoned back off...

That's so true and it's really sad because Del Piero has served this club so loyally over the years. If he had only scored one goal in his last ten games a la Ibrahimovic the fans and media alike would have crucified him by now. Forza Del Piero per sempre :thumb:

Agreed. Nedved hasn't been key for us so far this season and the 4-3-3 is working well. I wouldn't change formation to make way for Neddy, not yet anyways. I'd start DP, Zala and Zlatan upfront and bring Pavel on for one of the forwards in the second half.

I hope we manage to score more than one goal, and please Capello, don't have the team defend if we go 1-0 up. I don't see why a side with as much quality as Juve should be defending leads against Regginas and Livornos.

Zlatan has only scored once in his last ten games. IIRC it was against Udinese.
