I've read studies that say that transfermarkt valuations for the more valuable players are pretty accurate. For our players the stumbling block often is wages, while Berna might be worth 15m in transfer fee, he's so overpaid that teams that might want him and use him can't afford him.

Nah, Zaniolo is a 40m max player atm precisely because of ACL. Before yeah, it's not hard to see a team splashing a similar amount on him that we did on Chiesa, similar type of talent, most probably preferred Zaniolo over Fede.
