Started playing about with different setting for them. Thing is, I don't want them to play like wing backs when I'm in possession. Just need them to be a bit bolder when defending.

I'm finding that some man-marking, almost catenaccio-esque tactics, can work quite well... Finding it awkward when playing normally with a back four to deny space to an orthodox wide player when the opposition is playing 4-4-2 (or similar). Full backs don't seem to recognise a wide midfielder...

I'm going along rather nicely with a 4-3-3/4-5-1. Defensive fullbacks, one of the midfield three as an advanced playmaker getting forward, one winger and one inside forward as the wide players. High-ish defensive line, high tempo, playing narrow.

Always think part of the challenge/fun of the game is to play the first season with pretty much whatever you're given, before building your own team in subsequent years. I'll have a go a winning playing 3-5-2 with Juve at some point, but there's absolutely no way I'll be playing that system...

First FM I've played in a few years. Just messing around having a look at stuff just now. Won't get into a proper game until the full version is out and I can attack it with the editor. Signed Nainggolan for Juve on co-ownership for 4m as my first move. Not too shabby.
