    Stephan Lichtsteiner

He played a decent chunk of last season with an ankle problem, so he undoubtedly suffered a bit because of that. I'm keeping an open mind as to whether we are seeing the start of his physical decline or if he's back strongly after getting his ankle sorted.

    Stephan Lichtsteiner

People developed a very low opinion of him at some stage last season. I was off the forum for a couple of months and through a series of okay performances he'd suddenly become a terrible player and urgently needed to be replaced by the time I returned. Very odd.

Juve can't get 10m for Lichtsteiner. If he doesn't sign a new contract, he leaves for nothing in the summer. So you couldn't get more than a couple of million for him in January if you decided to sell.

You are right in saying Caceres wasn't to blame. He had to go to the man in the middle of the goal when the cross was coming in. However, it was a collective issue rather than really being Bonucci's fault. Bonucci got dragged forward marking the centre-forward early in the move and was always...

Not intense enough since he frequestly needs to be subbed.

Juve's players need to realise that they no longer need to put in great crosses for Juve to have a chance of scoring a header. Lichtsteiner's cross for Llorente was just a ball floated up into a decent area and Llorente was able to go and attack it. No need to try and be overly ambitious and...

    Stephan Lichtsteiner

I'm shocked and appalled that Lichtstiener didn't indulge in the modern habit of not celebrating against former clubs out of respect for them... He really is a first class cunt. :D

Regardless of his position, it'd be very hard to find another player capable of driving the team forward. Lichtsteiner, Chiellini and Vidal are really the key players for Juve in that regard. They are all so good at getting on the front foot to press and win the ball back early.

    Stephan Lichtsteiner

He put in a couple of very good near-post crosses early in the game that may have led to something if Juve had had a proper CF on the pitch.

That's what SKY has been speaking about today from the game. Lining up everyone from former refs to former Celtic players to debate how many dozens of penalties Celtic should have been given last night.

Don't see what Lichtsteiner did wrong. He's not obliged to get out of Hooper's way to allow him to go and harrass Buffon. If Hooper had any intention of going for the ball, what Lichtsteiner was doing would have been risky, but thought he was well within his right to do what he did.

Thiago Silva? Well, I suppose Juve could do with a backup CB.
