    Domenico Criscito

Says a lot about a player if they reject playing CL football for their local club in favour of Russian money.

    Domenico Criscito

But, then again, the fans didn't seem to be very understanding of Criscito's mistake, so maybe many people aren't actually as keen on a Juve focusing on youth as they think they are.

    Domenico Criscito

How did he get his chance? He got a few games in the first team, only to get dropped because he is one of the hundreds of defenders to be made to look foolish by Totti. That doesn't equate to a proper chance for a guy in his first season in Serie A.

    Domenico Criscito

I've defended Criscito a lot over the last couple of years, both his ability and his off pitch behaviour, but I would have to say that him wanting to stay at Genoa shows a worrying lack of ambition.

Stendardo joined in January 2008, which I think was the same window as Criscito left in.

Stendardo. It was better for all parties for Criscito to go somewhere else and get playing time, though, rather than stagnating on the Juve bench.

Legrottaglie and Chiellini had formed a pretty solid partnership. Criscito wasn't viewed as a left back at that time.

    Domenico Criscito

I think he's referring to when he was initially allowed to go to Genoa in the January of the first season back in Serie A, rather than choosing not to bring him back.

    Domenico Criscito

It was possibly a bit unfair to give up on him after only a couple of games. It was just one of those things that didn't work out at that time.

Criscito may be a World Champion in about six weeks. :shifty:

    Domenico Criscito

Given the amount of money being spent on other areas, either 'accept' Criscito or stick with Grosso and De Ceglie for another season. Your call.

Check my post again, I'm in favour of Criscito returning. ;)

No reason not to bring him back then, as far as I'm concerned.
