What has to be remembered in all these calculations is that it is pretty unlikely Juve won't have sold at least one of Pogba and Vidal for a lot of money within the next couple of years.

Don't know about 'comfortable favourites' for second. Both Napoli and Roma are a couple of players away from being very strong sides. I think there is quite a gulf between them and the others.

Think it's awaiting an appeal. And I believe Juve said they had alread set aside money to cover any potential liability so having to pay up wouldn't impact on future budgets.

I guess Juve wanted to have the negotiations when they were in a strong position (Italian champions and decent effort in first attempt at CL). Who knows if Juve would look quite as attractive if the negotiations had taken place a year later.
