[Supercoppa Italiana - Final] JUVENTUS 1-3 Lazio [December 22nd, 2019]

We beat Lazio the vast majority of the time under Max, and never lost by multiple goals iirc, twice in a couple weeks looking even worse the second match. But I agree they have a midfield that can impose itself over ours these past 3 years. Dislike Max or not, he was a far superior coach with...

In Europa League, this might have been so, but he quite obviously didn’t tell Sarri to embarrassingly crash out of CL group stage to Shaktar in his last year there.

He doubts anyone can do anything against Lazio right now... maybe he should have asked their Europa League opponent for help. 1577047802

We lost the SUpercoppa on penalties to Milan in 16-17 and lost 1-0 to them at home in October as well.

Agreed. For me, it's just the most meaningless title. I'll judge the chainsmoker on what we do in the remaining three. But these two matches against Lazio don't provide much optimism. They are a pretty good team that plays an open, attacking style, and is quite poor at the back, the open style...

That doesn't mean we should be getting smashed by a Lazio with a quarter of our wage bill, twice in three weeks. 6-2 over 180 minutes is just embarrassing.

While I agree, clearly Sarri didn't, as otherwise we wouldn't have played our strongest 11 after a mid-week match. We wanted to win this, we were just woefully far from good enough to do so. We created next to nothing today.
