Agree, Alves would be a much better investment. Other players that are young and 'promising' are zaccardo and nelson of benfica and if none of these are appropriate then heck why not bring a youth player?

If we can get him fairly cheap, yes, but if chelsea are after him then I doubt that we would get him. Ive seen a few of his matches for feyenoord this season his certainly been one of the best players in the dutch league this season. However prior to this season TBH I think he was poor.

Yeah just to add tacchi is loaned out. His loan contract expires end of june but his contract with juve remains till 2009. Miccoli, hates the way Juve have treated him, especially after buying him back from fiorentina, i would say its best to see him go to benfica and just promote a youngster...
