And I remember Barza's great performances in last year's CL run at that position ;)

I was talking about RB, that's clearly a defensive position, those guys definitely need to know how to defend :D Not saying he should start regularly, but against some opponents he's certainly very useful back there. Not to mention it's usually a RB/RCB hybrid in those cases as well.

Barzagli as RB is a great defensive option, just can't bring it on the offensive end.
  4. Ocelot

    Stephan Lichtsteiner

You are forgetting a couple of people there tbh :D And if you're just alluding to the new guys coming in that summer, still one quite important guy.

Amazing performance in that first half tbh Vintage Lich there for 45 minutes

Makes little sense to sell him, we'd have zero backups for Alves at RB - Cuadrado can only play RWB.
  7. Ocelot

    Stephan Lichtsteiner

Meh, he's done fine. We need a new RB anyways though, getting a bit too old for my liking.
  8. Ocelot

    Stephan Lichtsteiner

No one knew that he had a heart problem, and he had a couple of mediocre games.

Fuck man if Licht's issues turn out to be serious ones, we're fucked until january  Cuadrado's signing will look even more important then of course.
  11. Ocelot

    Stephan Lichtsteiner

:agree: Perhaps the player most affected by his departure.
  12. Ocelot

    Stephan Lichtsteiner

Same, but still Alex Sandro > Darmian.

When he got a yellow for timewasting and continued to waste time instead of throwing time being completely unfaded for another 40 seconds ahahahahaha

    TWICE ahahaha

That's Benjamin Chang aka Ken Jeong, not just some random "asian" :andyandbarcelona:

I do think that we should start a search for a future RB. Lichtsteiner is still usually world-class speaking purely defensively, his recent dip in form nonwithstanding, but he's not getting any younger, and as much as I like him I don't wanna have to rely on Caceres.

Yep, the immigration of African or Turkish people into Europe has been a rather recent phenomenom, most people are first/second generations. By the time the grand-grand-grandchildren of the original immigrants come around, things are going to look very differently for sure.

What really makes me like him though is that his obnoxious behaviour is purely confined to the pitch. Off it he really seems like a cool guy, making him very different from other players like Costa, which have similar antics.

Somewhere around the 60th minute mark Lichtsteiner started skinning the BVB leftback. It was at this moment that I realised that we had won this game.
