He is not rated at all by most people,and rightly so.He was really inconsistent and generally pretty poor,especially for Italy prior to this World Cup. Right now he is really playing good though.

Italy played a very poor 2nd half,not doubting that at all. At the same time NZ did absolutely nothing going forward. Add to that that their goal was offside and they should have been playing with 10 men after 20 minutes. But you do:D

Good to see that he tries to give everybody a chance who deserves it(except Cassano obviously). Galloppa,Biondini,Cassani,Candreva,Palladino...no world beaters but on form players.
