I may be mistaken, Curr...but I thought that he was loaned there as cover, took a while to get a game, but then made his presence felt and valuable. However, the team as a whole faltered somewhat in the second half of the season, not because of Ariuado, i hope...What I wonder is WHY we have...

Gallas is french...whinging and whining is therefore expected, if not that then we see volatility...its a fragile arrogance and inflated sense of self importance which I have seen in the french in general, for many moons. but still...Gallas has decent quality. And I would much rather see him...

Its preferable to the opposite, in terms of investment, and giving youngsters a chance to impress in our primavera. By all means, I share your apparent cynicism regarding the liklihood of any of our youngsters making it big...but still...The 'point' is obvious. And I would rather see us giving...

He must have something decent about him to be playing for such a lowly ranked team, yet already part of the Itaky U20 setup...Encouraging to see that Cagliari ONLY have the right to buy HALf of his registration...and also, that we are investing still in italian youth...

Mate, its not just the two of you who find the Option To Buy atrocious, its pretty much anyone who has seen even a hint of potential in Ariuado. None of us wanted this.

And that is the point. He hasn't been given chances by Ciro. So how can he be judged surplus to requirements...especially when only ONE of our centre backs has been performing at a decent level. Whilst Canna was decent in the first 3 or 4 games of the season, since then he has been at best, very...

Cagliari are eager to make the signing permanent and in fact announced they have Ariaudo on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.(football-itaLia) I'm shocked. He is the ONLY truly young defender we have who has played very well in his very brief outings for the first team. To...

    Lorenzo Ariaudo

I would gladly see him given a chance in our first team, even as a late sub. But this is not looking at all likely if he stays with us. Even when our centrebacks are playing like two legged donkeys, Ciro still doesn't roll the Ariuado dice...

There goes that desperate for attention and recognition ego of yours once again, teeth, rearing its ugly head...there are a fair few regular ANTI LOANERS on these boards. Not just you. I have read YOUR points, and others, in defence of the ANTI LOAN stance, and it makes sense, but at the same...

Logical and in the best interests of both club and player, mate...He is behind every other defender in the squad, and whilst Ciro is coach, he isn't going to play...so heading to a competitive team where he at least has a decent chance of playing, is preferable to rotting in the reserves.

    Lorenzo Ariaudo

Ok, Max...you have brought me back down to reality. I accept that the chances of Legro getting shot and Cannavaro dying of old age are at best slim...no harm in dreaming though eh!

    Lorenzo Ariaudo

It does seem strange unless Ciro and the other coaches ALL feel that Ariuado isn't yet ready for our first team, even its fringes...which would be a horrifying indication of his complete lack of technique and competency, because our current centrebacks are loathsome. I am excluding Chiellini as...

He got a chance under Ranieri, I vaguely recall...correctly??? yet he is yet to have ANY playing time under Ciro? and yes, I concur with the general consensus here, though would of done at the start of the season also; he should be given a chance.

Hustini, you make sense, and your own comments are logical. Teeth though, has this aggressive tendency to use insults to add weight to his arguments...which always, renders his points, less forceful and worthy of consideration than they would be, without the personal criticisms of the posters...

Arsenal do loan out their young players, not all of them, and only if there is little chance for them to get any playing time in the first team...Last season they sent out Rene Steer, Håvard Nordtveit, Pedro Botelho... Barca dont seem to...how about Manchester United? They have a tradition of...

    Lorenzo Ariaudo

Do you folks who are so against the idea of loaning out some of our youngsters seriously think that Ciro would let any player he valued as a potential first team player, of the future, get lost in a team of hacks and become bench fodder???? If you think that, you clearly have little faith in...

The experience which a player gets solely through training with great players, great coaches, and practice matches is obviously of high importance to development. But there comes a time when young players need truly competitive action, to cement what they have learned, and to improve under...

if he is good enough to get a game for the azzurrini, then i hope we give him a chance to impress in the summer, or even before the end of this season, in serie a.

He came on in the second half of the U21s 2-2 draw with Austria. Haven't read a report mentioning how he played but its positive that the team kept a clean sheet and clawed their way back into the game whilst our youngster was on the field.
