I hate his nonchalance at times. That feint (he doest this one often, where he "miskicks" the ball) in our own box was hilarious, especially since he barely kept position after he got closed down. I don't care about the player Can, as I am far from convinced by his qualities. His ball handling takes way too long, does everything at 1 pace, and then ends up playing sideways or backwards. I guess we got him just because he was a freebie, but other than that he is a huge burden on the salary...

The one thing I absolutely hate about him is that his first touch is always backwards. He does everything at the same tempo which slows down the play considerably. He then proceeds to play the ball backwards or sideways most of the time.

Awful. Got a couple of side passes almost intercepted or at least very close to an Atletico player, takes literally 3 touches to the very least before opening play to the other side. This guy is just not it, and no one sweating at Liverpool for losing him should say it all. Waste of fees and salary.

Sure, he will do fine in one match. He might even do fine over an extended period of time, but I don't think he can constantly deliver in that role. From what I've seen of him in his limited time here is that he is not agile enough to move away from his opponent or open play to the other side...

He is going to be a HUGE liability as a DM against teams that press relatively high on the pitch. His decision making is simply not quick enough.

He was actually having a very decent game until the penalty incident. That killed his confidence and he started making some errors. That can simply not happen at this level however.

being technically limited and very slow in his handling doesn't have anything to do with pre-season. He had the same limitations with Liverpool. He will be benched unless he improves drastically.

No worries, we will be the ones wanting to get rid of him soon anyway.
