    Who created Hell?

If Martin would take a look at the OT. He would realize God is an angry sonofabitch. Jesus, Mohamed and the other prophs are the Nice Guy Eddies in this movie.

    Who created Hell?

Also I noticed how no one cared to reply to my perspective of hell in the Bible. Isn't that what this thread is all about? The existence of Hell?

    Who created Hell?

Martin. You haven't read either the Bible or the Koran? Dude you've got to read them before you dis or believe them. Otherwise you can only argue from a hypothetical perspective. I'm going to retreive my copy of the Koran tomorrow so I can address Tahir.

    Who created Hell?

You have to realize I don't have a traditional belief system. Mine is very broad. I don't know if there is an afterlife (heaven or hell). And I don't really care. It's not something I worry about on a day to day basis. Religion is never a priority in anything I do, nor is it part of the...

    Who created Hell?

Me? Nothing. I don't live for the afterlife. I live for now. I do good things and I strive to help people because I believe it is the right thing to do and anything else is a waste.

Oh I think it might be up for discussion.;) Hope you don't mind me reorganizing the quotes.:D Here goes: Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering...

It's a lot less angry than the King James and tons easier to understand.

    Who created Hell?

New Revised Standard Version. It skips the King James and is a better translation from the original Greek. The majority of theological scholars in the US use it.

    Who created Hell?

Exactly. Where does it say the "everlasting fire" is hell? Other than once or twice. Every mention of fire or brimstone does not equate to hell, but it does equate a punishment. And in reference to the Old Testament text, all of the fire and brimstone tends to come from the sky...

    Who created Hell?

After all you've learned about the US on this forum. The standards of education and healthcare, general organization of government, and the death penalty. I see how it is difficult to come up with any other the assumption of an uncivilized society.

    Who created Hell?

In Koran? Or just in teachings, speeches, etc? In the bible the only real mention of Satan comes in Revelations, referring to a beast that brings about the apocalypse.

    Who created Hell?

Of course. But where does it say that the punishment is hell?

    Who created Hell?

You say "religion mentions it", but really what religious writings explicitly mention an existence of hell? Historically, hell was never mentioned in Christian teachings until the Middle Ages, when there was a need for money in the church and war in the Holy Land. I'm not sure about Islam...

    Who created Hell?

The US is the exception of course. We have both Federal and State death penalties.

    Who created Hell?

Alright. How about this comparison? We, "mankind", punish the evil by removing them from our world. In short, once someone dies they cease to exist in the world of man. With that said, is it not too difficult to believe that God would do the same in his world. Perhaps those deemed "too...

    Who created Hell?

They aren't related. Though both are created by man. With Hell what does teaching have anything to do with it. Once you are dead what can you learn, it's isn't like you can be rehabilitated and released. The Hell I'm most familiar with is a place of eternal punishment. Where those who...

    Who created Hell?

No. Though I'm pretty sure there are some papers written on the subject. In fact the professor who brought it up was working on a paper regarding the subject of Hell. I'm just not sure where to look to find theological papers.

    Who created Hell?

The government created prisons to protect those of us willing to live by the rules of society. Hell on the other hand cannot really be compared to a prison. Once you are dead how much of a danger are you do the living? And to argue that Hell was created to protect those willing to "live" by...
