Ok, I don't consider those as legends of the game.
One is an Arsenal and France legend the other is an Ajax, MU, and Netherlands legend.
Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Baggio, Messi, Ronaldo, Buffon, Cruyff etc. -- this category, all time greats.
Legit question.
Both are legends of the game (which IMO automatically qualifies a player as a legend of every club he played for), both won Ballon d'Or and at least one major trophy here.
I don't know man, if a guy that won the UEFA Cup is the one that gets the award, it must've been a pretty shitty competition.
Anyway, I feel guilty saying these stuff about a Juve legend, so I'll pass on the argument...
Del Piero is the greatest player Juventus ever had, oh and we're talking about Juventus here, the greatest team of all time (well one of the greatest). So what Baggio won the Balon D'or, I prefer Ale's persistency... to one season where Baggio had been lucky to not have any competition, don't...
Now what were we supposed to do man?
Del Piero was too good (irresistable), The Old Lady did the right thing at the time IMO :agree:
Forza Juve Legends !!!
