I think many did. After a good start, he had a very inconsistent spell as well under Lippi; often dissapearing for matches ( sound familiar :P?). Under Capello he became a key-player. Capello got much better out of him, than Lippi did. Becoming even more important under DD and then Ranieri...

He would've been a great fit in the current team.

just really hit me, my favourite player isnt playing for my favourite club anymore :(... Oh well..... At least my grandfather is a legend at his new employers.

and to answer his most simple question, he likes to play on the right wing. On a good day he drifts everywhere and can be the playmaker of sorts.
