I don't understand the infatuation with Metzelder around here. They guy is quite average, only good thing about getting him, similar to the grygera deal, is that he is for free. Quality wise he doesn't even come close to Heinze. Mathijssen is just crap :D.

True, he'd need a partner with a head on his shoulders and i'm not sure we have that type of player in defence and I i'm fairly certain Criscito lacks the experience and authority to lead the defence next season.

Heinze being on a free, might be wrong after all. I looked it up and I think he signed a 5 year deal in 2004.. Not 100% sure.
