Atalanta will be renovating their stadium starting from May. The two curve will be demolished and built brand new, whilst the east/west stands will be refurbished as well. Great news for them and it’s nice to see more Italian clubs following our lead. Rofl @ the Napoli’s and Roma’s of this...

Owned by the council. Only Juventus, Sassuolo, Udinese and Cagliari own their own stadiums.

The fact that clubs like Udinese and Cagliari can build new stadiums quicker than Roma, Milan and Napoli makes me smile. How inept are a lot of these clubs in Italy.

Cagliari Calcio move closer to new stadium. Will cost only EU55M and will have a capacity of 21,000. Will be ready for the 2019/20 season, built on the current site of the Stadio Sant'Elia. http://www.legab.it/news/news-detail-1/cagliari-votato-il-si-al-nuovo-stadio.html

Not economy, more the culture. Getting to the stadium on match-day is a huge thing in English football, whereas culturally for Italians, you watch the game with friends at a bar or at home. - - - Updated - - - Stadium coming along nicely for them, seats nearly all done

Thats why they have the multi-coloured seats, so the effect of having a small crowd will be less pronounced. But I think they should average at least 16-17,000 a game easily, and they will definitely sell out it for the games against the big teams.

The fucking Gabba  Yeah no idea why they have random coloured seats like that all over the place, bit odd. But great little stadium for a club like Udinese, if only more small-medium sized Serie A clubs focused their money and energy on these sort of things.

Yep, only costing them like EU40M or something as well. 25,000.

Probably a few metres more yeah, but I think the pitch is being moved closer to the stands regardless? - - - Updated - - - Completion date is set for December 2015 apparently.

Wreck-It-Ralph has paid the Friuli a visit. - - - Updated - - - Yeah, the current main stand with the roof will remain. Good idea IMO, at least it gives the stadium more character. Most new stadiums are just soul-less, corporate shiny boxes.

52,000 would be a perfect number for them. The more of these new stadiums being built, the better for football in Italy.
