[Europa League] JUVENTUS 3-1 Fulham (Mar. 11th 2010)

Midfielder Hasan Salihamidzic has admitted he got the faintest of touches to direct David Trezeguet’s shot into the net in Juventus’ 3-1 Europa League win over Fulham last night. But the Bosnian was almost apologetic after the match and maintained the scoresheet should acknowledge his...

It sure was. Although that makes sylvester87's point even stronger. Alex didn't play on that match either :D p.s: He said calendar year, though. Does it mean 2010? If he does then I agree with him. It was our best match in 2010.

Murphy is suspended for the second game too? That's very good news.

Fulham will go Hiroshima on us in the opening minutes. I'd prefer if we have more calm players and the better passers who won't panic but will slow down the game. It will be a mistake if we start with a defensive formation and leave all the possession to them. We proved that we're a better...

He'll score a brace against Siena. I have him in my fantasy team for next round, so he must do it :)

Btw, Brazzo definitely chested the ball. It was going out imo and it wasn't gonna be a goal if Brazzo didn't touch it.

Zaccheroni said yesterday that he plans to rest Diego soon, but not against Fulham. Considering the schedule we have, the home match against Siena is the only match where we can rest Diego and still be huge favorites.

Can we hope Dempsey to do it after Thursday? :D

Yeah, it really wasn't needed to make that debate so long. I should have made myself more clear. Poulsen is very good passer for a DM. Which means short passing, keeping it simple and calmness, with an occasional deep ball. Incomparable with what is widely accepted as "good passer", of course.

Do you guys feel safe when Marchisio has the ball? I always feel nervous when Sissoko has the ball, I have the same nervousness when Melo and Camo have the ball because you can never know what will those two try. But when Marchisio has the ball it feels so safe.

Calm passer, to put it better. We did need calmness in midfield after what Melo and Sissoko have been doing to us this season :) Btw, isn't it sad to see how little this team needed to have a completely different season? When someone who's widely considered an average coach could make this...

Fulham did suck but only a blind man didn't see that we passed and moved much much better than usual. But that was to be expected with solid passers and great runners like Candreva and Marchisio and with very good passers like Diego, Camo and Poulsen.

For you it's 15:05. Liverpool plays at 13:00 while Juve starts two hours and 5 minutes later.

This is what Zaccheroni said today: Will Diego be rested? It's in my plans, but not tomorrow. Marchisio? I haven't seen him for two days (Marchisio had a fever). I think that Sissoko is ok, yesterday he was ok. Poulsen? He's yet to play a full match but he can handle it, he has the energy...

No, they see Poulsen as a sure starter. Sissoko, and especially Marchisio who had a fever yesterday, are at risk, so Camo and Poulsen are expected to start this match for sure, while the third place will go to whichever will be ready from Sissoko and Marchisio. If none of them is ready then...

Normally I'd agree with this, but this time I want Del Piero to play. There is always something about Del Piero playing the English teams. He's always motivated and they give him a lot of respect. We can use that in our advantage.
