Yea, its sort of what happened to the Batman franchise. I think the new direction is better in the long run and stands them in good stead. After all, there is only so much super technology one can show on screen and keep the storyline gripping enough at the same time.

Havent seen much of Daniel Craig, but I think it was a good casting choice to stick with a Brit. Orlando Bloom would've messed it up. Hugh Jackman and Eric Bana though seemed like worthy contenders.
