Good call by management not to chase his salary demands. I also think he has peaked as a player so don’t see the motive to increase his salary. Hopefully Thuram will be the better player over time.

So I read that Todibo is going to West Ham on loan while we sign Cabal from Verona. Nobody saw that coming…. No one did. Perhaps our lack of progress in selling players is making him ease off the bigger transfers.

If we sell both Chiesa and Soule in some ways that increases our risk because we would need wingers. To me a lower risk strategy would be to focus on selling McKennie and Locatelli to secure Koop and selling Huijsen to get Todibo. Then time is on our side because worst case we keep both...

How about this for an idea: Fund Todibo through Huijsen Fund Koopmeiners through Locatelli and McKennie. Keep Soule and Chiesa (extend his contract on the same terms for another year)
