There was never really anything concrete on that. Some on Twitter were just saying they heard him say the new signing would be a surprise but was never confirmed.

I don't see how would he be useful for us? We already have that in Pjanić and Allegri insists Pjanić will play as a regista. We can't play both of them, Fabregas totally redundant IMO. Let alone the fact he's a lazy primadona. If we're signing a MF it has to be either BtB like Herrera/Matuidi...
