This is a great point and it makes sense for both teams. They bought Icardi last summer just as we did with Arthur. Icardi does have a year shorter contract though. If they need a midfielder and like syphilis this could make a ton of sense for both.

No it's not irrelevant. We were clearly a much worse team with him and we only won the league because Lazio fell apart after the COVID break with injuries. If both teams had kept their form which was more than likely with no break Lazio would've easily won the Scudetto.

Well that is his best role. He and Benzema were great together like that. He and Mario to a lesser extent too. It's not his fault he doesn't have a creative midfielder behind him. He's not a #9 and never will be. He'd be half the player if he played there consistently.
