    I said indirectly. If some of what Assange leaked lead to US operatives, soldiers, overseas persons being killed, then he would be in trouble.

    Well, considering Assange is using secondary information (he didn't take it himself but got it from a source) and is acting as a media outlet (Wikileaks is considered a media outlet) the distribution of the information is perfectly legal a la the Watergate scandal and the Deepthroat aftermath...

    There are leaks about Israel, a few thousand if I'm not mistaken. However, most are merely diplomatic transmissions. With nothing really degrading, other than how it seems to confirm that they do have influence over US foreign policy the the Middle East.
