Might be transactional, but I think this is good for Syria. The country needs any sort of stability it can get. Al-Sharaa has rebranded himself and he looks as likely as any to bring all the different factions to some sort of coalition. Sometimes you gotta deal with the devil.
Glad to see the government is learning all the wrong lessons from Reform wiping the local elections. I’m only 2 years in, not sure if I want to wait another 8 years before I can truly settle down. It’s fucked up.
