I think Pirlo being there is more down to him being Pirlo than him being a real Juventus legend, which in my eyes, he is not. Players like Buffon (when he retires) and Del Piero get legend threads.

Like you said, the weird thing about this is it being done so quickly, out of nowhere. I hope and pray we have someone lined up, but I just can't figure out who. Most of the names being mentioned seem pretty unrealistic to me and the ones that seem more likely are underwhelming to say the least...
