Hmm 3 man midfield would be very light against strong teams and i'm starting to think Cassano isn't more than a sub. I'd go - ----Balo-----Rossi(Pazz) -------Montolivo------- DDR(March)---Motta(Noc) -------Pirlo(Motta)----------- ----------Defense-----------

Forget about *playing like* Spain. Only chance of Italy winning cups is if Balotelli fires.

    Put in Balotelli.

Don't we have one of the steepest inclinations. I hope that don't screw up the cam angle.

So Pirlo's gonna play 4 games in a week. Perfect.

    Andrea Pirlo

Vidal's quality up forward = Toni's 40 goals in Bundesliga. LEt him stick to destroyer at first and see how it goes.

    Andrea Pirlo

Tbf, a Marchiso-Vidal midfield would be strong but we'd need more creativity up front. Like a David Silva style winger and a Rooney-like SS.

    Andrea Pirlo

Well the 'defensive' part can be covered by Pepe, Marchisio, Vidal. They probably won't offer a whole lot going forward though.

Stop pushing the 4-2-3-1's. I like them but we all know ADP doesn't allow it. And anyone got any stats for Melo? I read somewhere his ballwinning/tackling etc was worse than Pazienza and Aquilani lol.

    Arturo Vidal

He covers the ground alot better than Melo though. And playing as CB is a good lead in to play the destroyer role in front of the defense, we expect initially. Lately a few players have been interchanging those roles (Pepe, Silva, Mascherrano, Busquetts etc).

    Andrea Pirlo

First half was ordinary. Half time i reckon Conte put down the hard word 'hey this Milan fairy style sh*t is over pal.' 2nd half he had alot more bite and most of the team stepped it up. No way will they change the whole team to 4-3-3 just to accomodate him though. Best you'll get is a...

    Giuseppe Marotta

The sad thing is how few promising Italian coaches there are. Allegri - good. Prandelli - National team Mazzarri, Gasperini - 3 man defense gimmicks (fools) Guidolin - niche coach for a feeder team. At the end of the day, Conte probably showed more than anyone else in contention. Damn shame we...

    Tactics and Formations

Some Italian paper is predicting this. Although i support Conte's 4-2-4 in the future, it would be wise not to throw out the 4-4-2(half-wing) system that worked well for half a year. Basically a 4-3-3 anyway with either Elia or Krasic getting the freedom. And if the LB starts getting raped...

    Giuseppe Marotta

The real problem with Juventus' prestige today is that we made fk**ll impression in Europe for that supposedly great team. One or two CL titles in 2000's and every kid today would still consider us a giant of football. Take out calciopoli and give us 2-3 scuds. So what. Without European...

Not enough motivation. And not enough talent to just put away a small team that's trying. Don't know why Balotelli wasn't given a start.

    Rate Juve's Mercato

Why should he? Pirlo, Licht, Vuci kind of fell into his lap. Conte stopped him from average fixes like Vargas/Bastos or breaking the bank on Pastore. He didn't achieve the difficult task of a quality CB or a Licht standard LB.

    Rate Juve's Mercato

Overall Market - 8/10 Marotta - 4.5/10 In the end, we managed to buy 5-6 upgrades/starters. That's a huge boost. Some say we upgraded the wrong areas, mainly claiming our offense/mid was ok. Sorry but that's bs. The 2nd half of the season, we were devoid of ideas, of character, of intensity...
