  1. Official Azzurri (Italy) Euro 2008 Thread

It would be really foolish to start Ambrosini ahead of him. There would hardly come any creativity from midfield. Even when Pirlo is not in his best form he's able to decide a game with one defense-splitting pass. Something I can't exactly see Ambrosini doing. Besides Pirlo played pretty well in...
  2. All Gio goals [Empoli] here

His goals are always so classy. What a great talent he is. :rulz: Does somebody also have his goals & dribbles for the Azzurrini?
  3. Klaas Jan Huntelaar

I also see him becoming a very popular player whereever he will go, but I honestly don't think it will be Juventus where he'll end up. But as long as he hasn't gone anywhere yet, it's still nice to appreciate just how complete his scoring skills are:
  4. Gianluigi Buffon

  5. Van der Vaart

Well, Van der Vaart himself said the situation went that way. What reason would he have to lie about it? He's always been pretty straightforward in his interviews.
  6. Van der Vaart

Van der Vaart said recently that last winter he was close to a transfer to Juventus and that it was not because of himself that it fell through, but that the negotiating clubs couldn't get to an agreement, because HSV wanted too much money for him. And that now there's hardly any contact anymore...
  7. Klaas Jan Huntelaar

Yeah, and Huntelaar has got his own damn Stadium Stand as well. :rulz:
  8. Klaas Jan Huntelaar

It seems like Bernd Schuster now thinks Huntelaar is a clone of both Van Basten & Van Nistelrooy. http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/futbol-huntelaar-clon-van-basten/dasftb/20080402dasdaiftb_37/Tes btw is AS a reliable source?
  9. Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira

Pirlo is heavily overplayed and never gets a rest, because there isn't a good replacement for his role on the team. He seems mentally and physically tired, but I don't think he'll be getting any rest anytime soon, especially with Milan still trying to chase fourth place, Kaka out injured and him...
  10. Sebastian Giovinco

Giovinco played pretty well today. He made some very smart passes that caused some danger, but they were not always well-handled by his teammates. I think his best position is behind the strikers as a attacking mid, so he can feed them with through-balls. I hope he can develop some more body...
  11. Van der Vaart

I've watched Rafael van der Vaart a lot over the past couple of years and I think he's absolutely great player. He's a very creative, technical player and has the ability to set up plays easily. He also has great vision and his coach at Ajax used to say he was one of the few players he could put...
  12. Gianluigi Buffon

I hope he stays, but if he absolutely wants to leave, I will respect that seeing all that he has done for Juve. Some players just need a change of scenery once in a while, but please please not to Inter. :disagree:
  13. Klaas Jan Huntelaar

No, I think it's really his own voice and look at his eyes, it seems as if he's reading the English text from some card or something. At least that would explain his peculiar speech pattern. Either way I think it looks funny. :D
  14. Klaas Jan Huntelaar

Well, one thing you won't have to worry about if Huntelaar and Gerrard would join us, is their ability to pick up Golden hardware just like our very own Gigi :agree: : http://www.iffhs.de/?a55684185b88e047ccd003e0b45445fdcdc3bfcdc0aec70aeecf8a2a14 Huntelaar picked up "The World Topscorer...
  15. Klaas Jan Huntelaar

Here's one of the two goals Huntelaar scored last weekend: He seems to be on fire right now, he scored 7 goals in his last three matches. Here's another excellent compilation video: I think he really has potential to become a great great striker.
