  1. Danilo

The way he turned his career around is nothing short of miraculous. I remember how bad he was at Madrid and all the abuse he got from their fans. There was one infamous game where he had a total of 0 in all key statistics (0 tackles won, 0 aerial duels won, 0 interceptions, 0 blocks, 0 take-on)
  2. Champions League 2021-22

Suarez 2016 was not remotely comparable to the other two. 2016 was the year when Ronaldo scored a historic 16 goals in 12 games in a CL-winning campaign and topped it off with winning the Euros in the summer. There is no planet where any other player would've gotten the award that year.
  3. Champions League 2021-22

It's not just about the numbers tho. Benzema has literally dragged Madrid to the semis and is currently keeping them alive with another brace. And no way was Suarez winning the BO in a year where Ronaldo won the CL and the euros.
  4. Euro 2020 - General Talk Thread

People in the live thread saying France would be better without Mbappé. :haha:
  5. Champions League 2019/20

What goal? The second one? the Man City defender changed direction and ran right in front of Dembélé. If anything, that would've been a foul for Lyon had Dembélé gone to the ground.
  6. Tanguy Ndombele - CM - Lyon

French speakers pronounce it wrong though ( including those of African descent who simply gave up trying to tell people how to pronounce it ) Benatia is also pronounced " Benassia" in French, which as any arabic speaker here can tell you is completely off the mark.

  8. Dani Alves

The usual post-Juve game meltdown over the decision to let him leave is always hilarious to read in the Barça forum.
  9. Ligue 1 2016/2017

    Falcao is really unlucky today.
  10. Ligue 1 2016/2017

Glik broke Bakayoko's nose in training today.:sergio: You guys were probably right about this coming back to haunt them.
  11. Ligue 1 2016/2017

Other than Marseille ( for which they fielded a good starting 11 due to no CL games) they haven't met any good opponents. They spent half a season catching up to Nice and the other half barely staying above PSG, it's harder to rotate in those conditions. Their bench is really really weak, they...
  12. Ligue 1 2016/2017

The coach is Portuguese tho. :D And he made the right decision considering the impossible calendar and lack of depth in the squad. If you watched any of their past few games, you'd notice that the team is hanging by a thread and are barely scraping past weak opponents.
  13. Ligue 1 2016/2017

7 of the players who played in the quarter-finals and "worked hard" to make it to that stage started against PSG. This was not an important competition for them from the get-go. Not everybody has the means to aim for a treble.
  14. Ligue 1 2016/2017

Imo the blame should lie with their technical director for not strengthening their bench. Maybe they didn't expect to make it this far in all competitions. Just to give you an idea of how thin their squad is: Guess who can replace Bakayoko at DM? nobody since they don't have another defensive...
  15. Ligue 1 2016/2017

Who said they're a big team? why are you holding them to the same standard as Juventus? they're a mid-size team on a moderate budget trying to win their first league title in 17 years, they have to do everything they can to maximize their chances. Rotation throughout the season is difficult...
